Philippians 4:6
6Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God

Colossians 4:2
2Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving

Revelation 7:12
12Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen.

Psalm 117
1O praise the LORD, all ye nations: praise him, all ye people.

2For his merciful kindness is great toward us: and the truth of the LORD endureth for ever. Praise ye the LORD.

We gather together to ask the LordÂ’s blessing;
He chastens and hastens His will to make known.
The wicked oppressing now cease from distressing.
Sing praises to His Name; He forgets not His own.

Beside us to guide us, our God with us joining,
Ordaining, maintaining His kingdom divine;
So from the beginning the fight we were winning;
Thou, Lord, were at our side, all glory be Thine!

We all do extol Thee, Thou Leader triumphant,
And pray that Thou still our Defender will be.
Let Thy congregation escape tribulation;
Thy Name be ever praised! O Lord, make us free!

Dorothy, every day when I read your scriptures and hymn posts, I take time to thank the Lord for you and the time you put in for all of us. I think it is so wonderful that we have a day set aside to give thanks and make ourselves aware of all the things and people we have around us to be thankful for. A very Happy Thanksgiving to you, my Friend!:)
